  1. Macquarie Place: Two plane trees planted by Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh in 1954 to mark the Sydney end of the Driveway.

  2. South Strathfield: Landscaped plantations of 5000 eucalypts, acacias, casuarinas and grevilleas. Planted by Strathfield Council in 1990.

  3. Chullora: An established avenue of trees and grevillea on the north side of the Hume Highway.

  4. Windsor Park: A small park planted by State Rail with eucalypts and kaffir plums in 1955, upgraded with 150 eucalypts and ficus in 1995.

  5. Bass Hill: Lemon scented gums planted in 1957 by Qantas. Upgraded in 1993 with 166 lemon scented gums, tallwood and plane trees.

  6. Bass Hill: Figtrees and poplars planted in 1962 and lemon scented gums planted by the BCOF Veterans Association in 1992.

  7. Bass Hill, Gregory Street: Lemon scented gums planted in 1993 and dedicated as 18 Brigade Memorial Park.

  8. Bass Hill, Hector Street: Sydney red gums planted by Leyland Australia in 1962.

  9. Bass Hill, Johnston Road: On the south side of the Hume Highway a plantation of melaleuca established in 1965 and upgraded with 500 new trees in 1994-95.

  10. Bass Hill Plaza: Memorial Garden established in 1996 with additional trees planted to Arundle Road.

  11. Bass Hill, Arundle Road: A small plantation of eucalypts and casuarinas.

  12. Bass Hill, Berridale Estate: Eucalypts planted in 1967 were virtually destroyed by building operations, but replanted with melaleuca, spotted gums and turpentine in 1970.

  13. Villawood: From Miller Road to Woodville Road a long avenue of spotted gums with mixed species at each end planted in 1962. Includes 504 spotted gums and grey box planted in 1992 as Vietnam Veterans Memorial plantation.

  14. Villawood, Burke Square: A plantation of 450 eucalypts, Australian figs and some exotic species established in 1957.

  15. Landsdowne Bridge, Centre Islands: A fine stand of spotted gums and red flowering ironbarks planted in 1958.

  16. Landsdowne Bridge, Eastern Side: A large park of eucalypts, pines and deciduous and evergreen trees planted in 1962.

  17. Lennox: A landscaped park of pines, poplars and paperbarks established in 1960.

  18. Cabramatta, Huntingdale Avenue: A small park of mugga ironbark established in 1973.

  19. Fairfield: A park of Chinese elms, liquidambars and bunya pines planted by the Garden Club of Australia in 1955.

  20. Fairfield: A small park between Old Liverpool Road and the Highway planted with eucalypts and casuarinas in 1979.

  21. Warwick Farm: Landscaped gardens and plantations tended by Peter Warren Motors and Masterton Homes.

  22. Liverpool, Berryman Park Reserve: A plantation of eucalypts, turpentines, pines and poplars at Warwick Farm Railway Station established in 1956.

  23. Casula: Two plantations of 400 eucalypts established in 1991 by Liverpool City Council.


  1. Ingleburn: A plantation of 140 eucalypts at the Campbelltown Road Overbridge on the M5. Planted in 1992 by 6 Division Association.

  2. Campbelltown: Between Campbelltown Road and St Andrews Road Overbridges. Planted in 1993-94.

  3. Campbelltown, Kenny Hill Interchange: 900 poplars and plane trees and 2000 eucalypts planted by the Australian Army in 1993 and upgraded by the Mt Annan Botanical Gardens.

  4. M5, Avon Dam Interchange: Planting by the RTA.

  5. M5, Maldon Road Interchange: Planting by the RTA.

  6. Aylmerton Interchange: 660 eucalypts planted by the RTA in 1962.

  7. M5, Mittagong By-pass: 320 box elder, plane, poplar and red oaks planted by the RTA in 1992.

  8. Mittagong By-pass, Welby: Sir Charles Moses Park established in 1989.

  9. Berrima By-pass, Greenhills Road: Plantation of 270 cedar, golden oak, plane, poplars and elm.

  10. M5, Illawarra Highway Interchange: 3000 eucalypts, melaleucas and hakea planted 1989-90.

  11. Paddy’s River: Stands of native timber established on the western side of the Highway in 1954.

  12. Towrang Creek: A grove of poplars, gums, oaks and ashes planted astride Towrang Creek at the old bridge site in 1955.

  13. M5, Goulburn By-pass: Plantations along the by-pass with formal plantations at each end. Established by the RTA in 1993.

  14. Mulwaree High School: Plantation established in 1998.

  15. Hume Highway, Yarra: A grove and rest area containing gums, poplars and willows planted in 1956.

  16. Hume Highway, Yarra Interchange: Plantations containing 850 poplars, pin oaks, liquidambars and London plane trees established in 1980.

  17. Federal Highway, Wologorong Creek: An avenue of plane trees along both sides of the carriageway to replace the existing avenue of established poplars.

  18. Roses Lagoon: Three hectares containing pines, oaks, cypresses, gums, poplars and willows established in 1957.

  19. Collector By-pass, Winderadeen Hill: Stands of native trees established in 1992.

  20. Lake George: A mature plantation including pines, gums, cypresses, cedars, oaks, poplars and elms planted in 1954.

  21. Brookes Creek: 4950 native trees and shrubs planted in 1989-90.
  1. Canberra District: Five plantations along the Federal Highway in the ACT including gums, pines, oaks, elms, poplars, willows and wattles. Planted from 1955 onwards.

  2. Australian War Memorial and Remembrance Park: Three snow gums were planted in 2002 to mark the Canberra end of the driveway. A grove of allepo pines planted in Limestone Avenue in 1990.
