Honouring Australia's War Heroes with a Living Memorial

Located along the Hume and Federal Highways between Sydney and Canberra.

Launched in 1954, with the Queen and Prince Philip each planting a Plane tree in Macquarie Place, Sydney, marking the beginning of the Driveway. A living memorial honouring all those who served in the Australian Defence Forces in World War II and subsequent wars or conflicts.
